Dianne Gallagher passed away on January 12th. Many dental hygienists in Manitoba knew her as a friend, a colleague, and a mentor; she was a Manitoba alumnus.
Dianne pioneered the National Dental Hygiene Certification, the scope of practice and competencies, was a warrior for self-regulation, and a leader on so many levels for the profession, including serving as CDHA President.
She retired from Camosum College, British Columbia a couple of years ago. Dianne was a mentor to multitudes of students and colleagues. She was a dear friend to so many. May she rest in peace. May her presence in our lives guide us to be good and kind, and strong and courageous.
